Los últimos años de Cervantes: nuevos datos biográficos

Abstract

RESUMEN: En los últimos años se ha publicado un gran número de biografías sobre Cervantes, pero en ellas no suelen figuran nuevos datos históricos relevantes, sino que cada biógrafo conjuga los datos conocidos con la idea que se ha hecho de Cervantes tras leer sus obras. El análisis intertextual entre las obras de Cervantes y de otros autores con los que contendió literariamente permite deducir nuevos e importantísimos datos históricos sobre los últimos años de su vida, y, especialmente, de la forma en que vivió sus disputas con Lope de Vega y Avellaneda. ABSTRACT: In recent years, a large number of biographies on Cervantes have been published, but they do not contain new relevant historical data. Each biographer usually combines the known data with the idea that they have made of Cervantes after reading his works. The intertextual analysis between the works of Cervantes and other authors with whom he contended literary allows us to deduce new and very important historical data on the last years of his life, and, especially, on the way in which he lived his disputes with Lope de Vega and Avellaneda.
