Tiempo de Reformas: el Matrimonio y la Familia a través de Martin Lutero y el Concilio de Trento.

Abstract

En el siglo XVI, la institución del matrimonio fue sometida a importantes modificaciones tras el surgimiento de la Reforma Protestante de la mano de Martin Lutero y la reforma del catolicismo impulsada desde el Concilio de Trento. Mediante el análisis desde ambas perspectivas doctrinales de los diferentes ámbitos en el matrimonio y la familia, este trabajo ofrece una visión comparativa con el objetivo de mostrar cómo se definen las sociedades protestante y católica, y cómo ambas doctrinas hicieron del matrimonio y la familia un medio a través del cual se organizaba la sociedad y perpetuaban los valores cristianos.

In the 16th century, the marriage institution was subjected to a series of modifications of great importance, after the emergence of the Protestant Reform by the hands of Martin Luther and the reform within Catholicism driven by the Council of Trent. By way of analysis of the different fields within marriage and family from both doctrinal perspectives, this work offers a comparative vision with the goal of displaying how both societies, protestant and catholic, were defined; and how both doctrines created the means, out of marriage and family, through which society would be organised and Christian values perpetuated.
