Tratamiento mediático del racismo en el mundo del deporte

Abstract

La presente investigación analizó los contenidos difundidos en los diferentes medios deportivos españoles más destacados, sobre cómo el racismo afectó al conjunto total del deporte. El estudio buscó responder a cuestiones como ¿Cuáles fueron los deportes que más lo sufrieron? ¿Qué medidas se tomaron para paralizarlo? ¿Hubo diferencias entre un medio y otro a la hora de difundir dicha información? Para llevar a cabo esta labor de análisis de contenido se optó por un método cuantitativo para analizar las diferentes noticias en los medios deportivos españoles, así como Sport, Marca, Mundo Deportivo y As. Tras las distintas investigaciones se comprobó que los medios tratan estas informaciones de manera informativa y no sensacionalista, centrándose única y exclusivamente en informar al lector. Además, se pudo observar como el fútbol es el deporte que más destaca en este tipo de noticias y de informaciones, contando con el mayor número de artículos referentes al racismo, mientras que los demás deportes gozan de mucha menos relevancia, tanto mediática como social. El estudio concluyó con que dependiendo del medio protagonista se trataban las noticias de carácter más positivo o negativo.

The present investigation showed the analysis of the contents disseminated in the different Spanish sports media, on how the racism affected the whole of sport. The study sought to answer questions such as What are the sports that suffer the most? What steps were taken to paralyze it? Were there differences between one medium and another when it came to disseminating this information? To carry out this analysis work, a quantitative method was chosen, based on a case study to analyze the different news in the Spanish sports media, as well as Sport, Marca, Mundo Deportivo and As. After the different investigations, it was found that the media treat this information in an informative and non-sensational manner, focusing solely and exclusively on informing the reader. In addition, it was possible to observe how soccer is the sport that stands out the most in this type of news and information, with the largest number of articles referring to racism, while other sports enjoy much less relevance, both media and social. The study concluded that depending on the leading medium, news of a more positive or negative nature was treated.
