La 'Practica' de Plateario: edición crítica, estudio y traducción

Abstract

This paper summarizes our project of developing the first critical edition of the text 'Practica', one of Platearius' work. Platearius was one of the most importante physicians of the School of Salerno in the XIIth Century and he was also one of the most enigmatic. Our text is a didactic work that describes the symptoms and treatments of illnesses arranged a capite ad calcem. We explain here the methodology we are using and some of the first conclusions we obtained after the first analysis of the manuscripts.
