Los derechos de los indígenas americanos

Abstract

Los derechos de los indígenas siempre ha sido un tema controversial ya que ha enfrentado a diferentes sujetos, ya sean; Estados, individuos, colectividades u organismos internacionales entre sí. La tarea sobre la que discuten es la salvaguarda de unos sujetos determinados; los indígenas. Desde el inicio de la historia, hasta nuestros días, asistimos y participamos de una evolución en la concepción que tienen los Estados sobre cómo tratar a los habitantes que se identifiquen y habiten en lugares donde hay pueblos indígenas. De igual modo se velará por la condición de ser humano en todo momento. El presente trabajo estudia cómo ha ido avanzando la autodeterminación desde 1492 hasta el presente siglo.

Indigenous rights have always been a controversial issue as they have pitted different subjects, whether States, individuals, collectivities or international organizations, against each other. The task they discuss is the safeguarding of certain subjects; the indigenous people. From the beginning of history to the present day, we are witnessing and participating in an evolution in the conception that States have of how to treat the inhabitants who identify themselves and live in places where there are indigenous peoples. In the same way, the condition of human being will be taken care of at all times. This present work studies how self-determination has progressed from 1492 to the present century.
