Se ha demostrado que las tecnologías de música digital en combinación con sensores y software cuidadosamente escrito fomentan el ejercicio , la alegría y la interacción social entre personas con una amplia gama de capacidades, incluidos niños con discapacidades físicas o mentales graves. Este artículo describe la MotionComposer y algunas de sus posibles aplicaciones terapéuticas en centros sociopediátricos.

Dieser Artikel beschreibt den MotionComposer und einige seiner möglichen therapeutischen Anwendungen in sozialpädiatrischen Zentren.

Over the past two decades, a small number of music and dance artists have been using sensors such as video cameras to essentially turn human movement into music. They have found that by carefully choosing the movements, the sounds, and the correlation between the two (»mapping«), it is possible to awaken the instinct for music that often lies dormant inside us. This allows anyone to suddenly feel musical with their bodies. One such artist – engineer teams has applied these techniques to an interactive therapy device. It can stimulate movement, joy and social interaction in persons with a wide range of abilities, including children with severe physical or mental limitations. This paper describes the device and some of its possible therapeutic applications in social pediatric centers.
