La educación para la participación política en el Movimiento Scout

Abstract

El presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado busca acercarse a la educación para la participación política realizada en el movimiento scout. En primer lugar, se conceptualizará la participación política y las tendencias de participación en la población joven actual, así como líneas metodológicas propuestas desde la pedagogía para educar en este ámbito. Se realizará también una caracterización del movimiento scout, desde sus orígenes históricos hasta su presencia actual en Castilla y León y el marco metodológico en base al cual actúa. Posteriormente se realizará una investigación mediante encuestas, entrevistas y un grupo de discusión con el objetivo de definir cómo se realiza la educación para la participación política en el escultismo actualmente. En base a esta, se extraerán líneas de mejora en este aspecto, incluyendo aspectos como el desarrollo de mecanismos participativos y de recursos que faciliten a los educadores scouts el poner el contacto a sus educandos con la realidad política de su entorno.

This Bachelor’s Thesis aims to approach the education for political participation carried out in the scout movement. Firstly, both the political participation and the tendencies for participation in the younger population, as well as the methodological guidelines proposed by the pedagogical sciences to educate in this respect, will be conceptualized. A characterization of the scout movement will also be undertaken, from its historical origins to the presence nowadays in Castilla y León and the methodological framework by which it operates. Afterwards, an investigation will be conducted using surveys, interviews and a focus group with the objective of defining how the education for political participation is done in the current scouting movement. With this as a basis, some guidelines will be defined for the betterment of this type of education, including aspects like the development of participatory mechanisms and of resources to facilitate the scout educator’s job of putting their pupils in contact with the political reality of their surroundings.
