El proceso de migración mozárabe a la cuenca del Duero (siglos IX al XIII)

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como objeto de análisis el proceso de emigración mozárabe desde al-Ándalus hasta los territorios cristianos de la cuenca del Duero, entre los siglos IX y XIII. Se trata de un período de pervivencias y cambios, en el que los mozárabes, como grupo cristiano bajo el dominio islámico, se convierten en herederos de la cultura hispano-visigoda de signo isidoriano, a la vez que se impregnan de ciertos rasgos arabizantes. Al mismo tiempo que sus correligionarios septentrionales experimentan un paulatino cambio y apertura hacia Europa a través del rito romano, bajo las directrices uniformadoras del papado. Su llegada a la cuenca del Duero refleja las consecuencias sociales, culturales y religiosas de este devenir histórico, que comienza en al-Ándalus, en la búsqueda de una vía de supervivencia y termina en los territorios cristianos, con la imposición de la liturgia romana.

The object of this work is to analyze the process of Mozarabic emigration from al-Andalus to the Christian territories of the Duero basin, between the IX and XIII centuries. It is a period of survival and change, in which the Mozarabs, as a christian group under Islamic rule, become heirs of the hispano-visigothic culture of isidorian sign, while at the same time they are imbued with certain Arabizing traits. At the same time, their northern co-religionists experience a gradual change and opening towards the West through the Roman rite, under the standardizing guidelines of the papacy. Its arrival in the Duero basin reflects the social, cultural and religious consequences of this historical development, which begins in al-Andalus, in the search for a way to survive and ends in the christian territories, with the imposition of the roman liturgy.
