La inspección educativa en la revista pedagógica Escuelas de España (1929-1936)

Abstract

La educación en España durante el primer tercio del siglo XX vive un importante proceso de modernización. Esta renovación pedagógica no puede ser entendida sin analizar el papel de la inspección escolar como pieza principal del motor del cambio en la escuela. Se ha llevado a cabo una importante revisión bibliográfica (académica y científica), referida al contexto histórico, educativo, y un estudio profundo de los contenidos referidos a la Inspección Escolar en la revista pedagógica Escuelas de España. Esta investigación ha permitido reconstruir la situación de la educación en esta época desde la palabra de los propios protagonistas de la educación, inspectores y maestros. Hemos podido comprobar que la Inspección de Primera Enseñanza ha sido artífice de la renovación pedagógica en este momento histórico; preparados técnica y pedagógicamente, su tarea traspasa las aulas para transformar el contexto. Analizar la Historia de la Inspección Educativa más allá de la reglamentación y normativa que la regula, permite poner en valor el trabajo de quienes ejercen la Inspección con compromiso, capacidad y con cierta dosis de utopía, en palabras de Mainer (2009), “Inventores de Sueños”.

Education in Spain during the first third of the 20th century underwent an important modernization process. This pedagogical renewal cannot be understood without analyzing the role of the School Inspection as the main part of the engine of change in the school. An important bibliographic review (academic and scientific) has been carried out, referring to the historical and educational context, and an in-depth study of the contents related to the School Inspection in the pedagogical magazine Escuelas de España. This research has allowed us to reconstruct the situation of education at this time from the words of the protagonists of education themselves, Inspectors and teachers. We have been able to verify that the Primary Education Inspection has been the architect of pedagogical renewal at this historical moment; Technically and pedagogically prepared, their task goes beyond the classroom to transform the context. Analyzing the History of the Educational Inspection beyond the regulations and standards that regulate it, allows us to value the commitment of those who exercise the Inspection with commitment, capacity and with a certain dose of utopia, in the words of Mainer (2009), “Inventors of Dreams".
