    Abstract
The article explores fundamental aspects of contemporary narrative theory from a cognitive-linguistic perspective. It examines the structural and functional characteristics of narrative discourse and its relationship with cognitive processes involved in the interpretation and production of narratives. A conceptual framework is presented that enables the application of narrative analysis methods to specific cases, emphasizing elements such as modality, discourse organization, and narrative units. Through practical examples, the article demonstrates how these tools can be used for a deeper analysis of narrative communication in various discourse contexts.
