Los cuatro diálogos de la hispanidad: La representación y la construcción poéticas de la idea de hispanidad en Infinita memoria de América de Laureano Albán

Abstract

This doctoral thesis hermeneutically analyzes the macro-poetry book Infinite Memory of America (The Discovery, Amerindia, Sepharad and al-Andalus, 1492 / 1991), of Costa Rican Laureano Alban. The poetic representation and construction of the idea of Hispanicness as symbolic, mythic, religious and cultural dialogue are established. For this purpose, archetypes, symbols and myths are identified as ideological and cultural units in each of the four poetry books of Infinite Memory of America. They are The Endless Voyage, Invisible Geography of America, All the Stones of the Wall and Once upon a time al-Andalus. Hermeneutical analysis of Infinite Memory of America and establishment of the idea of Hispanicness, present in this macro-poetry book, are mainly based on the concept of dialogue according to Mijail Bajtin; some theoretical and methodological principles about archetypes, symbol, symbolic imagination and myth by Gilbert Durand, Mircea Eliade and Carl Jung; some notions of the sacred and intuitional faculty according to Eliade and Rudolf Otto; as well as the notion of mystical phenomenon according to Juan Martin Velasco....
