Los jóvenes de la RDA en el mural

Abstract

Se analizará el mural La marcha de la juventud hacia el futuro que José Renau realizó en Halle-Neustadt, con el propósito de identificar los cambios que tuvo en el contenido, la relevancia de los jóvenes en la RDA que permitió legitimar al Estado y las posibles causas que llevaron a la pérdida de este en 1999. Al mismo tiempo, nos proponemos demostrar el control que ejerció el Estado en los murales de Renau a partir de las modificadas solicitadas quedando en trabajos preliminares, así como las contribuciones que dio Renau al muralismo de la Alemania del Este.

The mural The March of Youth into the Future by José Renau in Halle-Neustadt will be analysed with the aim of identifying the changes in content, the relevance of young people in the GDR that allowed the State to be legitimised and the possible causes that led to its loss in 1999. At the same time, we aim to demonstrate the control that the State exercised over Renau's murals from the requested modifications, which remained in preliminary work, as well as the contributions that Renau made to muralism in East Germany.
