Las asociaciones de turismo activo en el desarrollo turístico español del primer tercio del siglo XX: el papel del Real Automóvil Club

Abstract

Durante el primer tercio del siglo XX se conformó en España un primer sistema turístico en el que llegaron a participar diferentes agentes, entre otros componentes del mismo. En este artículo vamos a analizar el papel que desempeñaron las asociaciones de turismo activo en el desarrollo turístico español de esas décadas. Para ello nos vamos a centrar en el Real Automóvil Club y en la ciudad de San Sebastián, epicentro del turismo español de la época y centro internacional de las carreras de automóviles en España.

During the first third of the 20th century, a first tourism system was formed in Spain in which different agents participated, among other components. In this article we are going to analyze the role that active tourism associations played in the Spanish tourism development of those decades. To do this, we are going to focus on the Royal Automobile Club and the city of San Sebastián, the epicenter of Spanish tourism at the time and the international center of automobile racing in Spain.
