La teoría de la imposibilidad del socialismo del padre Juan de Mariana

Abstract

En este artículo buscamos contextualizar la aportación del padre Juan de Mariana a la teoría de la imposibilidad del socialismo. Tras una breve explicación de dicha teoría, intentaremos analizar el antecedente del padre Mariana a través de su obra crítica sobre los males de la Compañía de Jesús. Tendremos la ocasión de observar cómo el padre Mariana anticipaba muchas de las conclusiones alcanzadas por los economistas de la Escuela Austriaca tres siglos más tarde, tanto en los relativo a las dificultades encontradas por el planificador como en las consecuencias de un orden centralizado.

: In this article, we seek to contextualize the contribution of Father Juan de Mariana to the theory of the impossibility of socialism. After a brief explanation of this theory, we will try to analyze Father Mariana's background through his critical work on the evils of the Society of Jesus. We will have the opportunity to observe how Father Mariana anticipated many of the conclusions reached by the economists of the Austrian School three centuries later, both in relation to the difficulties encountered by the planner and in the consequences of a centralized order.
