Los templos documentados en la diócesis de Burgos entre los años 800 y 1200 son 1.337. Las advocaciones de santos empleadas fueron 83; de ellas sólo 23 aparecen en las cuatro zonas paralelas en que hemos dividido el territorio. Los santos más populares en las cuatro zonas fueron: María, Martín, Pedro (y Pablo), Juan (¿Bautista o Evangelista?) y Miguel. Aparte de este dato, resulta significativa la relativa densidad de "Juan" y "Eulalia" en la zona más septentrional y la de "Mamés" en la más meridional de la diócesis.
The churches that the records of the diocese of Burgos registered from 800 to 1200 were 1,337. Dedications to saints amounted to 83 -of which only three belong to the four parallel sections into which we have divided the diocesan territory. The most popular saints in these four sections were: Mary, Martin, Peter (and Paul), John (the Baptist or the Evangelist?) and Michael. Moreover it is significant that there is a high occurrence of dedications to "John" and "Eulalia" in the northernmost section, while in the southernmost section "Mamés" seems to be the most frequent one.
