The research will be focussed on the examination of the cultural references of the film. Furthermore, our investigation will be figured out from the perspective of the intellectual people of the German Democratic Republic. The cultural nature, together with the theoretical and practical part of the study will enable us to perceive the way the cultural references of the film are treated in Spanish and German, as well as the techniques used for their translation. Finally, this all will permit us to appreciate if the cultural transfer from the Original Version has been respected in the Spanish Subtitled Version. Die vorliegende Bachelorarbeit analysiert die spanische Untertitelung des deutschen Films „Das Leben der Anderen“ von Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, der sowohl Drehbuchautor als auch Regisseur ist. Die Studie wird sich auf die Untersuchung der kulturellen Referenzen des Films konzentrieren. Darüber hinaus wird unsere Arbeit aus der Perspektive der Intellektuellen in der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik dargestellt. Die kulturelle Natur, zusammen mit dem theoretischen und praktischen Teil der Studie ermöglicht uns, die kulturellen Referenzen des Films in Spanisch und Deutsch sowie die Techniken, die zu ihrer Übersetzung verwendet geworden sind, zu behandeln.
