El ciberperiodismo móvil es la práctica de periodismo digital en dispositivos móviles inteligentes.
Su naturaleza digital permite que se adopten características propias del ciberperiodismo, como la
utilización del ciberespacio para transmitir contenidos, la utilización de hipertexto,
interactividad del mensaje, la memoria digital o la multimedialidad (Díaz Noci, 2008). Por otro
lado, sus características móviles, diferentes a las del ordenador, posibilitan la realización y
consumo de nuevos contenidos periodísticos a través de un canal diferente. En este trabajo
analizamos el ciberperiodismo móvil, sus particularidades y nivel de desarrollo, desde la
perspectiva del canal y mensaje, la del usuario y la del emisor, para así intentar entender la
situación de los diferentes elementos de un mismo proceso comunicativo. Para poder acotar la
investigación, estudiamos dos cibermedios con presencia móvil, como El Confidencial y Eldiario.es,
a partir de un análisis cuantitativo-semicualitativo, tras la realización de un análisis de
contenido. Y otro cualitativo, basándonos en entrevistas semiestructuradas a los responsables de
innovación tecnológica o del producto móvil de ambos cibermedios, Antonio Rull (en el caso de
Eldiario.es) y Ángel Ortiz (en El Confidencial). Los resultados obtenidos nos ayudan a obtener una
visión más clara de la situación de un área del periodismo, todavía incipiente, pero de gran
interés para el futuro de la profesión.

Mobile online journalism is the practice of digital journalism in smartphones. Digital nature
allows to follow the characteristics of online journalism, for example the use of cyberspace to
spread contents, the use of hypertext, the interactivity, the digital memory or multimedia
components (Díaz Noci, 2008). On the other hand, its mobile features, different from the computer,
allow consumption and production of journalistic matters, through a different channel. This
academic study analyzes the mobile online journalism, its characteristics and development, from the
perspective of the channel and message from the user and from the issuer, in order to understand
the situation of the different elements of the same communication process. To focus on this
research, we studied two online media, El Confidencial and Eldiario.es, from
semiqualitative-quantitative analysis, and other qualitative analysis, after interviewing the
persons responsible for technological innovation or mobile product, Antonio Rull (in the case of
Eldiario.es) and Ángel Ortiz (El Confidencial). The results help us to obtain a clear picture of
the situation in a new area of journalism, and thus very interesting for the future. Keywords: mobile online journalism, online media, El Confidencial, Eldiario.es, smartphone.
