<mods:abstract>The aims of this paper are, first, to explore the relationship between the leve1 of satisfaction with different aspects of the job and the search for another job; and secondly, to look into any possible relationship between job dissatisfac-tion and work absence. In order to undertake the study of these two dimensions, a probit analysis is carried out for Spain with data coming from the European Community Household Panel for the years 1994-2001</mods:abstract>
