<mods:abstract>The political culture of Argentina has been strongly authoritarian. This is an important reason why society has accepted a sui generis system in which civilians and militars had an alternation in the state. But the last militar dictatorship has represented an important brake in this tradition, because since its end the Argentine society has begun the construction of a democratic order. In this article we are interested in the study of those elements of the Argentine political culture which, even now , and as a consequence of her authoritarian past, are putting negative conditions to the new democracy. Taking account of the neoconservative model, these authoritarian elements are increasing more, and in that way they are putting in danger the kind of democracy which has been conquered till now.</mods:abstract>
