TPR Storytelling con lenguaje de signos en el aula de Educación Infantil

El presente proyecto de investigación tiene como finalidad observar cómo influye el
método “TPR Storytelling” en los alumnos de Educación Infantil de un colegio público,
bilingüe y acogido al convenio British Council, de Palencia. A lo largo del mismo se
analizan las características y aspectos más relevantes de dicho método, el cual trabaja las
historias o cuentos para enseñar una segunda lengua de manera multisensorial, divertida y
atractiva; con el fin de que los niños aprendan nuevas palabras y desarrollen actitudes
positivas hacía la lengua inglesa y su cultura. Además se pretende utilizar este medio de
instrucción para introducir el lenguaje de signos con el objetivo de ayudar en la
comunicación al alumnado con y sin necesidades educativas especiales. En este trabajo de
fin de grado se pretende demostrar sus excelentes resultados y su eficacia en el aprendizaje
de la lengua inglesa a través de una intervención con alumnos de 5 a 6 años de edad.
The purpose of this research is observing how TPR Storytelling method influences on
Infant Education students in a public, bilingual school adhered to the British Council
agreement in Palencia, Spain. During this project, the most relevant aspects and traits of
TPR Storytelling method are analysed, including stories or tales in order to teach a second
language in a multi-sensory, fun and attractive way. Thus, students learn new words and
develop positive attitudes towards the English language and its culture. Moreover, it
intends to use this way of teaching to introduce the sign language with the aim of helping
in communication with the students either with or without special education needs. Finally,
it was considered convenient to show its excellent results and effectiveness while learning
the English language through an empirical study with a 5 to 6-year-old group of students.
