This paper summarizes a study of players, coaches and managers opinions about the effects of the rule changes in indoor soccer implemented in 2006. The study was carried out by means of an open answer questionnaire that was applied by individual interviews recorded in the hotel where participants were staying during the 20th Edition of the National League Championship indoor soccer Cup, that took place in Granada, Spain, in 2009. These data were compared with the entries in the field diary of the main researcher. We conclude that the rule changes have adversely affected indoor soccer brightness and game speed; it has also brought about a reduction in the number of goals.
