<dcterms:abstract>El presente trabajo aborda cómo se ha configurado la imagen del vikingo a lo largo de la historia. Desde una visión peyorativa construida en el Medievo por los monjes cristianos, a la fascinación en torno al mundo vikingo del Romanticismo. El trabajo analiza cómo las diferentes imágenes en torno a este sujeto histórico se representan en una serie de éxito actual. Se han elegido el tratamiento de la religión nórdica y la representación de la mujer escandinava como aspectos clave a analizar.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract>This paper intends to give an overview of how viking’s image had been built throughout history. From a pejorative view made in the Middle Ages by christian monks to the fascination around viking world that we can see in the Romanticism. This paper analyse how different images about this historical subject had been put into a successful TV series. An important points of view are also the Nordic religion and how Scandinavian women are characterised.</dcterms:abstract>
