Su importancia se puede deducir de los ricos ajuares de sus múltiples fardos funerarios. En estos se han encontrado múltiples y maravillosos mantos, junto a otros objetos que acompañaban a las momias de los difuntos principales. Sin embargo, hay cuestiones todavía no bien conocidas, como su origen y final, y sobre todo el papel de los excepcionales tejidos, cuyos dibujos y figuras son un enigma que podría relacionarse o influir en la organización social de los paracas. The Paracas culture plays a central role in Andean Prehistory. It`s importance can be deduced from the rich grave goods found in multiple funeral bundles. In this bundles several wonderful mantles have been found along other objects accompanying the mummies of the main deceased.
