Los torques áureos de la Cultura Castreña del Noroeste Peninsular

El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar los ‘torques’; joyas a modo de collares
rígidos en forma de ‘C’; sobre los cuales explicaremos su origen, tipos y características
en su variante en la Cultura Castreña, localizada en el noroeste de la Península Ibérica.
Se centra exclusivamente en aquellos ejemplares realizados en oro que han sido
hallados hasta día de hoy. Con una cronología de muy difícil datación, pueden situarse
hacia el Bronce Final, perpetuando hasta la época de la romanización; teniendo su
máxima expresión en la Segunda Edad de Hierro.
The aim of this paper is to study of ‘torques’, rigid jewels in the form of rigid, Cshaped
necklaces of which we will explain their origin, types and characteristics of the
Castro Culture variant, located in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula. It focuses
exclusively on those examples made out of gold that have been found up until today.
Although the chronology of these is very difficult to determine, they could be placed
between the Atlantic Bronze Age and the period of Romanization, having greatest
significance in the second Iron Age
