El desarrollo tecnológico ha permitido que los datos circulen sin límites. Pero la aparición de barreras frena el aprovechamiento de sus ventajas al 100%, a la vez que genera miedo y desconfianza en los individuos.
El objetivo del Reglamento General de Protección de Datos (en adelante RGPD) es solucionar los problemas de la Ley Orgánica de Protección de Datos (en adelante LOPD) y proporcionar un marco normativo homogéneo en la Unión Europea.
El incumplimiento de la LOPD por las empresas y la desprotección de los datos personales de los ciudadanos en las redes sociales (en adelante RRSS), hacen que sea imprescindible conocer que saben los individuos y las empresas sobre la LOPD y el RGPD y cómo actúan para proteger sus datos, así como otras cuestiones interesantes.
Para ello, se ha desarrollado una investigación en tres fases: en primer lugar, mediante fuentes de información secundaria; en segundo lugar, se ha desarrollado una fase exploratoria mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas; y, en tercer lugar, se ha realizado una fase cuantitativa mediante el desarrollo de encuestas.
Las empresas y los ciudadanos comparten preocupaciones. Por ello, las entidades encuestadas tratan de garantizar la seguridad de los datos personales que poseen.

For this, a research has been developed in three phases: first, through secondary information sources; Secondly, an exploratory phase has been developed through semi-structured interviews; and, third, a quantitative phase has been carried out through the development of surveys.
Businesses and citizens share concerns. Therefore, the entities surveyed try to guarantee the security of the personal data they possess.
