Las ideas expresadas o contenidas en las frases están arropadas en sus significados culturales, entendiendo como tales los significados sociales, políticos, religiosos y económicos. Una “idea” está inevitablemente impregnada de referentes culturales, la cuestión es: ¿qué pasa cuando la traducimos a otra lengua y por lo tanto a otra cultura? Este es el objetivo del presente trabajo. Se pretende encontrar las posibles “discrepancias” sobre la traducción del texto, o por el contrario, la total idoneidad de la trasposición de lenguas. El ejemplo que emplearemos es la película Die Welle, del director alemán Dennis Gansel. Su enfoque plantea una metodología para modificación de conductas grupales, por lo que su interés trasciende más allá de una ideología concreta. Las formas, los gestos y sobre todo “las palabras y sus significados” dotan a la obra de una fuerza comunicativa relevante. El objetivo de este trabajo por lo tanto, es el estudio de la traducción de los elementos culturales en la obra cinematográfica Die Welle. Para ello centraré mi estudio en el análisis comparativo de la traducción de los nombres propios, topónimos y antropónimos, y los fraseologismos, entre la lengua de partida, el alemán, y el español como lengua meta. Me ayudaré tanto de la versión original cinematográfica, Die Welle, como de su versión doblada al español, La ola. The text is not neutral; the word is not deedless. The social, political and religious meanings are hidden. If an idea is full of references, what happens when we translate it into another language, and thereby into another culture? This is the objective of the film. The intention of this review is to analyse the effectiveness of the translation and identify any potential discrepancies in the text. The example that we are going to use is the motion picture Die Welle, from the German film director Dennis Gansel. It presents a methodology for the modification of group behaviors, so that its interest goes further than a specific ideology. The forms, the body language and even the words and their meanings endow the work with a real communicative power. Therefore, the aim of this work is the study of the translation of the cultural references in the cinematographic work Die Welle. I will focus my study on the comparative analysis of the translation of the names, toponyms, anthroponyms and phraseological sentences, between the source language, German, and two or more target languages. I will use the official cinematographic original source Die Welle and the translated versions (dubbing) into English (The wave), Spanish (La ola) or French (La vague) to inform my study. Der Text ist kein Neutrum und das Wort ist nicht leblos. Die Ideen eines Wortes oder eines Satzes sind eingebettet in ihren kulturellen Bedeutungskontext. Sie werden von den Menschen als soziale, politische, religiöse und wirtschaftliche Bedeutungen verstanden. Es stellt sich nun die Frage, was passiert, wenn wir Sprache übersetzen und in wie weit die Kultur eines Landes Einfluss auf die Bedeutung der Sprache nimmt. Dies ist das Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit. Ziel ist es, mögliche Unstimmigkeiten bei der Übersetzung des Textes in andere Sprachen zu finden. Ein Beispiel, welches hier im Text genutzt wird, ist der Film Die Welle von dem deutschen Regisseur und Drehbuchautor Dennis Gansel. Der Film handelt von der Veränderung des Verhaltens einer Schulgemeinschaft, indem sie gemeinsam eine Ideologie verfolgen. Die Verhaltensweisen, Gesten sowie die Sprache der Schüler und Lehrer verleiht dem Film eine besondere Kraft. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, die gelernten Inhalte des Studiums der Übersetzung für die Analyse des Films Die Welle zu nutzen. Hierfür werde ich auf Basis der Studieninhalte eine vergleichende Analyse der Eigennamen, Ortsnamen und Personennamen, zwischen der Ausgangssprache Deutsch und zwei oder mehreren Übersetzungen in anderen Zielsprachen beleuchten. In diesem Zusammenhang werde ich mich mit dem offiziellen Untertitel in der Originalfassung beschäftigen.
