El presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado se presenta como una aproximación al concepto de
identidad profesional docente, las dimensiones que lo conforman y cómo se produce su
configuración. Entendiendo la identidad docente como un constructo social, se lleva a
cabo una investigación cualitativa con el objetivo de enfrentar los testimonios
pertenecientes a los docentes expertos frente a aquellos expresados por los docentes en
formación. La finalidad de este estudio es conocer y comprender cómo varía la
identidad del docente de lengua extranjera en relación a su veteranía en esta profesión.
Asimismo, se intentará vincular la identidad a la reflexión de la práctica pedagógica y,
por ende, a la idea de un educador reflexivo.
This Final Project is introduced as an approach to the concept of teacher professional
identity, the dimensions that constitute it and how its configuration is produced.
Understanding teacher identity as a social construct, a qualitative research has been
conducted with the aim of comparing the expert teachers’ testimonies with those
expressed by the teachers in training. The purpose of this study is to know and
understand how the identity of the foreign language teachers changes in relation to their
seniority in this profession. Likewise, an attempt will be made in order to associate
identity to the reflection of pedagogical practice and, therefore, to the idea of a
reflective educator
