El contenido de este trabajo consta, en primer lugar, del sistema financiero español donde se explicará las funciones del mismo así como su estructura y su evolución después de la pasada crisis. Posteriormente, se analizará la transformación digital que se está produciendo en el sector bancario, obligando a los bancos tradicionales a adaptarse a esta nueva situación. Para terminar, examinará la posición del banco BBVA, desde su historia hasta sus ventajas competitivas, para acabar haciendo un análisis económico financiero frente al banco Santander, a través de los ratios y sus rentabilidades, en un horizonte temporal de 7 años.
The content of this work consists, first of all, of the Spanish financial system where
the functions of it will be explained as well as its structure and its evolution after the
last crisis. Subsequently, the digital transformation that is taking place in the banking
sector will be analyzed, forcing traditional banks to adapt to this new situation.
Finally, it will examine the position of the BBVA bank, from its history to its
competitive advantages, to finish making an economic and financial analysis against
the Santander bank, through the ratios and their returns, in a time horizon of 7 years.
