El mundo actual es digital y está en constante cambio y evolución. Las monedas digitales permiten realizar transacciones más rápidas, seguras y baratas. Una tecnología que puede revolucionar el sistema financiero que conocemos hasta ahora.
Vivimos en un mundo digital, por lo que no sería tan raro que nuestras monedas también lo fueran. Del trueque al dinero, monedas y billetes, tarjetas de crédito y ahora, criptomonedas.
En la actualidad existen miles de criptomonedas, pero no parece que ninguna termine de encajar en la sociedad como moneda para el día a día, principalmente se utilizan como inversión, ¿por qué? Su gran volatilidad podría ser la respuesta. Además, su carácter anónimo provoca que algunos delincuentes las utilicen para actividades ilícitas y blanqueo de capitales. Algunos gobiernos las han prohibido, otros valoran su potencial y pretenden regularizarlas

Nowadays, there are thousands of cryptocurrencies, but it does not seem that
any of them fit in our society as our everyday currency, they are mainly used as
an investment, why? Its volatility could be the answer. In addition, its
anonymous nature incites some criminals to use them for illicit activities and
money laundering. Some governments have banned them, others value their
potential and try to regularize them.
