La epigrafía romana del valle del Duero permite identificar un conjunto de familias nucleares cuyos miembros muestran un uso diferencial del nomen gentilicio romano en sus denominaciones personales. Analizamos en profundidad la causística que explica el fenómeno en cada caso, así como sus implicaciones respecto al estatus jurídico de las personas y de las comunidades.The Roman inscriptions found in the territory of the valley of the river Duero allow us to identify a group of families that shows a differential use of the Roman nomen in the personal names of their members. We analyse the possible causes of this situation and its implications in the legal status of the individuals and the communities.
