Este proyecto pretende profundizar en la historia del poder en la Edad Media hispana, que es el objeto de este grupo de investigación desde hace años. En esta ocasión se busca analizar cómo se ejerce el poder en el espacio a través de determinados agentes y mediante el recurso a la escritura. El estudio tiene como eje el siglo XIII, pero engloba desde el XI hasta el XV, un marco temporal amplio con el fin de poder observar la evolución de espacios y poderes, la dinámica a largo plazo.
This research project will deepen our understanding of the history of power in the Iberian Peninsula during the Middle Ages, which has been an objective pursued by this research group in the last fifteen years. Specifically, this project will analyse the relationship between space and power, how power was exercised by individuals at a local and regional level, and the crucial role of written documents in the execution of authority. The central focus of this study is the thirteenth century; however, it will also
explore these topics for the period between the eleventh and the fifteenth centuries.
