El propósito de esta investigación es analizar la evolución experimentada por las
portadas digitales de los medios de comunicación españoles desde la óptica del diseño. A tal fin, se
identificarán los elementos principales que componen estas páginas y se estudiarán las
modificaciones ensayadas en dos diarios de distinto ámbito geográfico en el periodo 2007-2019. De
esta forma se pretende profundizar en las respuestas presentadas por los medios ante los desafíos
que la nueva era digital y el auge de las redes sociales suponen para el Periodismo. También se
desea comprobar si la diferencia en el área de difusión puede haber influido en las estrategias
adoptadas para afrontar los retos de internet. Por último, se investigarán las tendencias manifestadas
por ambos medios en el periodo abarcado con el fin de intentar predecir las características que
definirán las portadas periodísticas digitales del futuro.
The purpose of this investigation is to analize the evolution experimented by the
homepages of spanish mass communication media from the perspective of design. For that reason,
the main elements composing these homepages will be identified and the modifications attempted
by two daily newspapers from different geographic spheres of activity will be studied between 2007
and 2019. This way, it is expected to delve into the countermeasures proposed by the media against
the challenges that the new digital age and the rise of social networks mean for Journalism. It is also
desired to check whether the difference in the spreading area might have influenced the strategies
adopted to face the challenges of the internet. At last, the tendencies manifested by both media
during the studied period of time will also be investigated in order to try to predict the
characteristics that will define the journalistic homepages of the future.
