La teoría del valor de Karl Marx ha sido cuestionada a partir de los años ’70 por la
llamada «escuela del marxismo analítico»; este trabajo revisa la discusión acerca de la
ontología social entre los marxistas analíticos y la teoría marxiana del valor. Tras
exponer las principales interpretaciones ontológicas que proponen los marxistas
analíticos y analizar la teoría del valor desarrollada por Marx en El Capital, se aplican
aquellas interpretaciones para analizar la teoría marxiana del valor. Finalmente, este
trabajo discute cómo el análisis ontológico resulta de utilidad para, por un lado, criticar
la ontología de la teoría del valor de Marx en base a las nociones del marxismo analítico
y, por otro lado, criticar las propias interpretaciones ontológicas de los marxistas
analíticos en base a la teoría del valor marxiana.
Karl Marx's theory of value has been questioned in the 1970s by the so-called "school
of analytical Marxism"; this paper reviews the discussion about social ontology between
analytical Marxists and Marxian theory of value. After exposing the main ontological
interpretations proposed by analytical Marxists and analyzing the theory of value
developed by Marx in Capital, those interpretations are applied to analyze the Marxian
theory of value. Finally, this work discusses how ontological analysis is useful for, on
the one hand, criticizing the ontology of Marx's theory of value based on the notions of
analytical Marxism and, on the other hand, criticizing the ontological interpretations of
analytical Marxists based on Marxian theory of value.
