Este Trabajo Fin de Grado parte de la transcripción, análisis y estudio de un
registro de escrituras elaborado bajo la dirección del bachiller Diego de Salmerón, el
primer archivero real de la corona de Castilla, que se custodia en el Archivo General de
Simancas. La pieza es un eslabón más en la larga cadena de intentos que hizo de Castilla
por crear un archivo real, que no se hará realidad hasta mediados del siglo XVI, bajo el
reinado de Carlos V. En este trabajo, aparte de comparar la situación castellana con la de
los otros reinos peninsulares, hemos indagado sobre los orígenes del archivo real de
Castilla, remontándonos a tiempos de Alfonso X hasta Felipe II, monarca que consolidó
el proyecto simanquino.
This Final Degree Project starts from the transcription, analysis and study of a
record of writings prepared under the direction of the bachelor Diego de Salmerón, the
first royal archivist of the crown of Castile, which is kept in the General Archive of
Simancas. The piece is one more link in Castilla's long chain of attempts to create a royal
archive, which will not come true until the mid-16th century, under the reign of Carlos
V. In this work, apart from comparing the Castilian situation With that of the other
peninsular kingdoms, we have investigated the origins of the royal archive of Castile,
going back to the time of Alfonso X to Felipe II, monarch who consolidated the Simancas
project.
