La rápida evolución de la tecnología en los últimos años hace que la
generación de Residuos de Aparatos Eléctricos y Electrónicos (RAEE) aumente
a gran velocidad, por ello su reciclaje adquiere vital importancia. Se requiere
una normativa que establezca la obligación de gestionarlos de manera
adecuada.
Siempre que sea posible debe fomentarse la reparación o reutilización
de los Aparatos Eléctricos y Electrónicos (AEE), de esta forma se evitará que
se conviertan en residuos. Si no es posible, estos deben ser tratados
mediante los procesos adecuados, recuperando y valorizando las materias
primas, de esta manera se evitará el agotamiento de los recursos naturales
infinitos.
Una adecuada gestión de los RAEE evitará su exportación a países
subdesarrollados, causando graves problemas en el medio ambiente y la
salud de las personas, ya que contienen sustancias tóxicas.
The rapid evolution of the technology in the last years means that the
generation of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is increasing
at high speed, therefore, the recycling of this waste is very important and the
regulations must establish the obligation to manage them properly.
The repair or reuse of Electrical and Electronic Equiment (EEE) should
be encouraged, hence it will prevent them from becoming waste. If this isn’t
posible, the waste must be treated through the appropriate processes,
recovering and valuing the raw materials, in this way, the depletion of infinite
natural resources will be drained.
A propeer management of WEE will prevent its export to
underdeveloped countries causing serious problems for the environment and
people’s health as they contain toxic substances.
