En Canillas de Esgueva, Provincia de Valladolid. Se encuentran los restos de lo que un día fue un castillo, se empezó a construir
a mediados del siglo XIV por orden de Pedro I de castilla y se terminó por parte de la casa Zúñiga entre 1466 y 1499 y finalmente
se encontraba en ruinas en el siglo XIX.
El patrimonio arquitectónico, es una forma material que habla de la historia del ser humano y de su evolución en las técnicas de
construcción. Comenzando con el uso de la cueva (como edificio o elemento más primitivo) con el que se buscaba resguardarse
y protegerse de las inclemencias del tiempo y los animales salvajes. Donde se descubrió el primer hogar (Fuego). Llegando en el
proceso de evolución, hasta los grandes edificios de la actualidad, como el Dubái Creek Tower*. Pero esto no habría sido posible
sin un largo desarrollo en las tecnologías de construcción que ha ido desarrollándose durante siglos. Teniendo en cuenta, la
existencia de los grandes avances ligados a la ingeniería, pero también los grandes atrasos ligados a pérdidas de literatura y
conocimientos de construcción. (Como la caída del Imperio Romano y la pérdida de edificios y los recursos destruidos).
En la actualidad, podemos recuperar visualmente el patrimonio perdido gracias a la tecnología y a los programas gráficos que
utilizamos y a los conocimientos que tenemos sobre las técnicas de construcción antiguas.
En este trabajo se va a analizar, recrear y difundir virtualmente el Castillo original de Canillas de esgueva actualmente
desaparecido, del que sólo se conservan dos torres y antiguas fotografías del lienzo que las unía. Con el objetivo de que se
establezcan lazos afectivos entre las personas y su patrimonio.
In Canillas de Esgueva, Valladolid county, there are located the remains of what one day was a castle. Which started to be built in the
middle of XIV, by request of Pedro I of Castilla, and it was finished by order of the Zuniga family between 1466 and 1499. Finally, it was
in ruins in the XIX age.
The architectural heritage is a material physical form that speaks about human history and the evolution of the construction techniques.
Starting from the use of the cave, as the most primitive element of accommodation or construccion, with which humans seeked for a
way to shelter and protect themselves from the climate and wild animals. Where it was found the first home (fire).
Reaching nowadays the most wondrous buildings that have been built, such as Dubai Creek Tower*. However, this evolution in
construction would have not been possible without an extensive development on building research throughout the ages. Having in
consideration the existence of advantages linked to engineering, but also, large delays related to loss of literature and construction
knowledge (Such as Roman Empire defeat, where buildings and resources were lost).
In the present days, we can retrive the heritage lost visually, thank you to the new technologies and the graphic programs that we can
access, as well as the knowledge that we have gained in construction about ancient building techniques.
In this essay, the original castle of Canillas de Esgueva, is going to be analysed, recreated and visually promoted. The castle,
nowadays disappeared, from which we only preserve two towers and ancient photographs of the wall that joined them. With the final
goal of creating a bond between people and their heritage.
