Un Sistema Educativo moderno es consciente de la importancia de la aplicación de la educación
multidisciplinar desde edades tempranas, como ya se contempla en el preámbulo de la vigente
Ley de Educación de nuestro país (Ley Orgánica 3/2020, de 29 de diciembre, por la que se
modifica la Ley Orgánica 2/2006, de 3 de mayo de Educación.).
La educación STEAM en aulas de Educación Infantil sigue precisamente este planteamiento, ya
que constituye un enfoque diferente del currículum de las matemáticas, utilizando herramientas
que interrelacionen las distintas disciplinas.
El trabajo que se presenta persigue evaluar las ventajas que ofrece el enfoque STEAM en una
situación real en dos aulas de 3 y 5 años a través de un cuento con una trazabilidad lógica,
atractiva, diseñada para alumnos de estas edades, y poder identificar las ventajas y desventajas,
así como las diferencias entre ambas edades.
El resultado final nos permite afirmar que la educación STEAM permite potenciar la motivación
de los alumnos y al mismo tiempo crear un recorrido único de aprendizaje para cada niño, de
manera que fomenta la inclusión en todas las edades.
Design and Implementation of a STEAM Work Proposal in Pre-School Education
Classrooms.
A modern Educational System is aware of the importance of the application of multidisciplinary
education from an early age, as is already considered in the preamble of the current Law on
Education of our country (Organic Law 3/2020, dated December 29, by which the Organic Law
2/2006 on Education, dated May 3, is modified).
STEAM education in Pre-School Education classrooms precisely follows this approach, since it
constitutes a different focus on the mathematics curriculum, using tools that interrelate the
different disciplines.
The work hereby presented aims, on the one hand, to assess the benefits offered by the STEAM
approach in a real situation in two classrooms of children aged 3 and 5 -through a tale with a
logical and appealing traceability designed for students of these ages-, and, on the other hand, to be able to identify its advantages and drawbacks, as well as the differences between the mentioned
two ages.
The result allows us to assert that STEAM education enables to foster the motivation in students
and, at the same time, to create a unique learning itinerary for each child, in such a way that
inclusion is encouraged at all ages.
