<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract" lang="es">La educación afectivo–sexual de las personas con discapacidad intelectual es todavía la asignatura pendiente del sistema educativo de nuestro país. Varios estudios e investigaciones demuestran que la calidad de vida de las personas con discapacidad intelectual mejoraría notablemente si se incluyese una sexualidad sana y positiva en su vida diaria.&#xd;
Por ello, este trabajo pretende recabar información y recopilar los fundamentos teóricos sobre la educación afectivo-sexual en personas con discapacidad intelectual para posteriormente poder poner en práctica una propuesta de intervención en dicho ámbito. Esta propuesta está destinada a un grupo de adolescentes con discapacidad intelectual escolarizados en un centro de educación especial cuyo objetivo es proporcionar las técnicas necesarias a estos alumnos y a sus familiares sobre la educación afectivo-sexual para promover la autoaceptación y así poder desarrollar conductas socialmente adecuadas, mejorando por consiguiente su calidad de vida.</dim:field>
<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract" lang="es">The affective-sexual education of people with intellectual disabilities is still an unfinished buisness of the educational system of our country. A great variety of research projects and investigations demonstrate that people with intellectual disabilities would improve their quality of life if a healthy and positive sexuality were included in their daily lives. For this reason, this final project intends to raise information and collect the theoretical basics of the affective-sexual education of people with intellectual disabilities in order to put a didactic proposal about this topic into practice. This proposal is designed for a group of adolescents with intellectual disabilities who are being educated in a special school. Its main objective is to give a variety of esential skills about affective-sexual education to families and students, in order to promote self- acceptance, and, as a result, they could develop social attitudes, improving their quality of life.</dim:field>
