Este Trabajo Fin de Grado propone dar un paso más en la investigación
de la relación entre la arquitectura y la moda a partir del estudio de Prada
y OMA, y en concreto de la tienda de Prada Soho en la ciudad de Nueva
York. Analizaremos aquí la capacidad de la imagen para transformar espacios
a partir del análisis del wallpaper presente en la tienda. Se trata de un
gran mural que cambia con cada colección, cuyos lienzos están diseñados
en su mayoría por el estudio 2x4, que nos permitirá entender el potencial
transformador de lo gráfico para crear ilusiones ópticas. Partiendo del
vinculo entre las colecciones de Prada y la envolvente de la tienda cada
colección, clasificaremos y analizaremos estas piezas para posteriormente
reconstruir geométricamente la espacialidad creada en la tienda por este
trampantojo contemporáneo, con el que la marca sorprende cada temporada
al consumidor.
This Final Degree Project proposes to take a further step in the investiga-tion of the relationship between architecture and fashion, focusing on the study of Prada and OMA, and specifically the Prada Soho store in New York City. We will analyze here the capacity of the image to transform spaces analyzing the Wallpaper element present in the store. This is a large mural that changes with each collection, whose designs are mostly created by the 2x4 studio. The study of those will allow us to understand the trans-formative potential of the graphic image to create optical illusions. Starting from the link between the Prada collections and the envelope of the store in each collection, we will classify and analyze these pieces to later recon-struct geometrically the spatiality created in the store by this contemporary trompe l’oeil, with which the brand surprises the consumer every season
