<dcterms:abstract>Durante la Edad Moderna, el matrimonio a menudo era fuente de conflictos entre el marido y la mujer. La inferioridad jurídica de ésta y la realidad material de la pareja, podía hacer estallar la convivencia. La concepción moral del matrimonio surgida del Concilio de Trento contemplaba el divorcio como solución a estas tensiones, pero infligiendo, según el criterio de la Iglesia, un daño moral a la sociedad irreparable.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract>During Modern Age, the marriage often was source of conflict between the husband and the wife. According this, the women’s legal inferiority and marriage´s material reality, could explode the coexistence. The moral conception of marriage that emerged from the Council of Trent considered divorce as a solution to these tensions, but inflicting, in the eyes of the Church, an irreparable moral damage to society.</dcterms:abstract>
