El fotoperiodismo de Gerda Taro durante la Guerra Civil Española

La presente investigación expone un recorrido fotográfico durante la Guerra Civil
Española sobre la figura y obra de Gerda Taro, primera fotoperiodista en cubrir
y morir al frente de una batalla. A través de sus fotografías, se ha descubierto la
finalidad que la fotógrafa perseguía cubriendo la guerra. Así pues, la
representación de soldados y el modo de vida de los ciudadanos en la época son
una constante. Además, se ha descubierto que fotografió en poca medida la
mortalidad y la representación del campo de batalla con lo que ello conlleva.
Apenas aparecen mujeres en sus fotografías por lo que se considera que este
grupo no era su blanco principal.
This study presents a photographical journey of the Spanish Civil War based on
the figure and work of Gerda Taro, the first photojournalist who covered and
passed away fighting in a battle. Through her photographs, it has been discovered
Gerda’s purpose when covering the battle reports. Following this idea, she
focuses on the presentation of soldiers and the lifestyle of the Spanish population
during the conflict. Moreover, it has been found that her work barely shows mortality
and the representation of the battlefield. The figure of women hardly appears
on her photographs, so it has been considered that this group was not her main
target of work.
