El mecenazgo de la mitra y la arquitectura de El Burgo de Osma durante el siglo XVIII

La acción de los distintos obispos de la antigua diócesis de Osma en la villa de El Burgo
de Osma durante el siglo XVIII propició la realización de obras artísticas tanto a nivel
religioso como civil. De un lado, son construcciones de mejora y por otro de ampliación,
especialmente durante el gobierno de Antonio Calderón y gracias a la colaboración del
rey Carlos III y la mediación del burgense fray Joaquín de Eleta: dentro de la catedral la
girola, la sacristía y la capilla de Palafox, y en el caso urbano la nueva plaza mayor, el
hospital de San Agustín, el Seminario y el Hospicio.
The action of the different bishops of the old diocese of Osma in the town of el Burgo de
Osma during the 18th century led to the realization of artistic Works both at a religious
