El origen de la metalurgia es una de las innovaciones tecnológicas más importantes de
la historia, la cual ha contribuido al desarrollo y a la diferenciación social. En este Trabajo de
Fin de Grado nos centraremos en las minas calcolíticas de El Aramo (Asturias), uno de los
espacios de extracción de cobre más notables de la Península Ibérica, por su antigüedad y por
la excepcional información que aportan tanto del instrumental como de las modalidades
extractivas, así como de los ritos y creencias que giran en torno a la minería desde la
Prehistoria, sin olvidar la circulación de sus minerales a nivel europeo.
The origin of metallurgy is one of the most important technological innovations in
history, which has contributed to development and social differentiation. In this Final Degree
Project we will focus on the chalcolithic mines of El Aramo (Asturias), one of the most
notable copper extraction sites in the Iberian Peninsula, due to its antiquity and the
exceptional information provided by both the instruments and the the extractive modalities, as
well as the rites and beliefs that revolve around mining since prehistoric times, without
forgetting the circulation of its minerals at the European level.
