En primer lugar, trataremos las medidas impuestas por la Unión Europea y más adelante las del Gobierno español. En el transcurso del contenido, pondremos el foco en la Unión Europea 27 para vislumbrar los efectos de la Covid-19 basándonos en tres indicadores macroeconómicos fundamentales: Producto Interior Bruto, Desempleo e Inflación. Desarrollaremos una comparativa de la crisis del 2008 en contrapunto a la crisis del coronavirus en España, cuya principal meta es responder a la pregunta de si ambas crisis son parecidas o por el contrario no. Para tal fin haremos uso del análisis del Producto Interior Bruto, el paro, la deuda y el déficit público, la inflación y el análisis de los sectores económicos haciendo especial énfasis en los que más han sufrido en las dos crisis (construcción y turismo). Por último, vemos medidas y soluciones de cómo llevar a cabo la recuperación y los pasos a seguir. En adición repasaremos las estimaciones del Fondo Monetario Internacional sobre el Producto Interior Bruto, la Inflación y el Desempleo con el objetivo de prever si la recuperación será más o menos temprana bajo los criterios establecidos en la Eurozona. This study examines the effects of Covid-19 on the economy and whether the crisis it has provoked is similar to the one which occurred in 2008. Firstly, we will consider the measures imposed by the European Union and, later, those taken by the Spanish Government. For the purposes of the study, we will focus on the Europe of the 27, highlighting the effects of Covid-19, based on the three fundamental macro-economic indicators: Gross National Product, Unemployment and Inflation. A comparison will be made with the 2008 crisis and its counterpoint the Coronavirus crisis in Spain, with the objective of answering the question of whether both crises are similar or not. To do so, use will be made of an analysis of the Gross National Product, unemployment, debt, public deficit and inflation, as well as the analysis of the economic sectors, placing special emphasis on those which have suffered most (construction and tourism). Finally, we will examine measures and solutions on how to bring about a recovery and the steps which should be taken. In addition, the estimates made by the International Monetary Fund regarding the GNP will be revised, together with inflation and unemployment, with the aim of foreseeing if recovery will come about relatively early in terms of the criteria established for the Eurozone.
