La influencia de la motivación en el aprendizaje del inglés

En este trabajo que se presenta se pretende reflexionar sobre la importancia de la
motivación en el aprendizaje de una segunda lengua, en este caso el inglés.
En el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de una lengua extranjera, una de las variables
que predomina y que es fundamental es la motivación. El trabajo está formado por un
lado de una revisión teórica que nos ayuda a introducirnos en el tema y a conocer en
profundidad sobre esta variable; esta parte está destinada a entender la definición de
motivación y sus tipos, saber cómo influye la motivación en el ámbito educativo y cómo
influye en el proceso de aprendizaje, los factores involucrados en el proceso de
enseñanza-aprendizaje y de manera más amplia ver la importancia que tiene la motivación
en el aprendizaje de lenguas extranjeras.
Por otro lado, se ha planteado una propuesta de actividades para realizar en la asignatura
de inglés en el curso de 2º de primaria en el CEIP León Felipe, colegio público situado
en el barrio de La Rondilla en Valladolid. Se pretenden llevar a cabo actividades
consideradas “motivadoras” con el fin de potenciar lo máximo posible la motivación en
los alumnos, de despertar el interés y de contribuir a la adquisición de un aprendizaje
significativo y constructivista.
This paper aims to reflect on the importance of motivation in the learning of a second
language, in this case English.
In the teaching-learning process of a foreign language, one of the predominant and
fundamental variables is motivation. The work is formed on the one hand by a theoretical
research that helps us to introduce us to the subject and to know more in depth about this
variable; this part is intended to understand the definition of motivation and its types, to
know how motivation influences in the educational field and how it influences the
learning process, the factors involved in the teaching-learning process and in a broader
way to see the importance of motivation in the learning of foreign languages, in this case
English, as well as some motivating instructional actions for the classroom. This part is
supported by authors with extensive knowledge on the subject.
On the other hand, a proposal has been made for activities to be carried out in the subject
of English in the 2nd year of primary school at CEIP León Felipe, a public school located
in the district of La Rondilla in Valladolid. The aim is to carry out motivational activities
in order to boost the motivation of the pupils as much as possible, to awaken their interest
and to acquire a meaningful and constructivist learning process that allows us to acquire
English content in a motivating way.
