00925njm 22002777a 4500 dc López-Nava Ricote, Álvaro author 2022 El frontón Fiesta Alegre fue una de las grandes obras del conocido arquitecto vasco Jerónimo Ortiz de Urbina, que dejó su huella en la ciudad de Valladolid desarrollando un papel fundamental en la arquitectura y el urbanismo durante la segunda mitad del siglo XIX. El edificio construido en la ultima década de dicho siglo, desaparece tan solo 74 años después, en 1968, habiendo pasado por distintas reformas requeridas por los nuevos usos que se le daban al edificio, llegando a albergar en sus últimos tiempos hasta un cine-teatro. Con el presente trabajo se pretende dar a conocer parte del patrimonio perdido de la ciudad de Valladolid, contando la historia de esta gran obra, analizando las fases por las que pasó a lo largo de su corta vida y haciendo un estudio y una descripción del edificio. Todo ello, con la finalidad de realizar una restitución virtual del proyecto cuando albergó el frontón de pelota vasca, uso para el que fue proyectado, donde alcanzó sus días de máximo esplendor. The Fiesta Alegre fronton was one of the great works of the well-known Basque architect Jerónimo Ortiz de Urbina, who left his mark on the city of Valladolid, playing a fundamental role in architecture and town planning during the second half of the 19th century. The building, built in the last decade of the 19th century, disappeared only 74 years later, in 1968, having undergone various reforms required by the new uses that were given to the building, and in its last years it even housed a cinematheatre. The aim of this work is to make known part of the lost heritage of the city of Valladolid, telling the story of this great work, analysing the phases it went through during its short life and making a study and description of the building.
