Este TFG analiza desde el punto de vista arquitectónico la película The Wall (1982).
Esta película aúna cine, música, arte y arquitectura. Empleando esta última como
vehículo, nexo entre las otras tres. Ayudando al espectador a la hora de sumergirse
en los pensamientos, en la imaginería y en las reivindicaciones de la banda.
Haciendo partícipe no solo de como era la época en la que se grabó sino del
tiempo que les precedía. La propuesta audiovisual nos presenta una nueva forma
de trasmitir mezclando las imágenes grabadas y las dibujadas que transicionan
entre ellas. Así mismo emplea espacios reales e ilustraciones entre los que el
protagonista desarrolla su vida por completo. Todo ello ha hecho que, con los
años, se haya convertido en una película de culto y lejos de haberse normalizado,
continúa siendo una de las películas más originales y a la vez extrañas de finales
del siglo XX.
This TFG analyzes the film The Wall (1982) from an architectural point of view.
This film combines cinema, music, art and architecture. Using the latter as a vehicle,
link between the other three. Helping the viewers to immerse themselves
in the thoughts, in the imagery and in the claims of the band. Participating not
only in what the era in which it was recorded was like, but also in the time that
preceded them. The audiovisual proposal presents us a new way of transmitting,
by mixing recorded and drawn images that transition between them. Likewise, it
uses real spaces and illustrations among which the main character develops his
life completely. All this has meant that, over the years, it has become a cult film
and far from being normalized, it continues to be one of the most original, and at
the same time, strange films of the late twentieth century.
