La desinformación y el desinterés por las asignaturas de ciencias experimentales, en concreto
por la asignatura de Física y Química, es un problema de gran magnitud en el sistema educativo
actual. El Podcast es un recurso auditivo utilizado en el ámbito educativo para la enseñanzaaprendizaje
de contenidos didácticos mediante la narración. Este trabajo describe y pone en
práctica una investigación que analiza la eficacia del recurso del Podcast en el aula. Dicha
investigación pretende incrementar la curiosidad del alumnado por la Física y Química, y la
alfabetización científica de los estudiantes mediante un aprendizaje significativo. Para ello, se
han elaborado tres Podcasts de diferentes temáticas adaptados al currículo de 2º de la E.S.O,
que fueron escuchados en el aula y, posteriormente, fueron evaluados utilizando cuestionarios
y entrevistas. Los resultados han sido analizados en tres grupos del mismo nivel (el tamaño
total de la muestra es de 39 estudiantes), siendo uno de ellos el grupo control y otro “no
bilingüe” otro perteneciente al programa bilingüe. Se ha demostrado que en este último se
obtenían, en general, mejores resultados que en el grupo “no bilingüe” y en este, a su vez,
mejores resultados que en el grupo control. Además, se fijaban mejor los conocimientos cuando
se escuchaba el recurso en dos o más ocasiones. A la vista de los resultados obtenidos en la
encuesta de satisfacción, se concluye que el Podcast representa un recurso diferente, innovador
y motivador para la enseñanza de la Física y Química en el aula.
Misinformation and disinterest for science subjects, especially for the subject of Physics and
Chemistry, is a huge problem of the education system nowadays. Podcast is an auditive
resource used in education for the teaching-learning process by narration. This thesis describes
and develops an investigation which analyses the efficacy of Podcast in the classroom. That
investigation aims to increase curiosity in students for Physics and Chemistry, and the scientific
alphabetization of students by significative learning. In order to accomplish that, three podcasts
of different topics have been created and adapted to the curriculum of the 2nd year of secondary
education. They were listened to in the classroom and evaluated using questionnaires and
interviews. The results have been analysed for three groups of the same level (the total number
of students is 39), being one of those the control group and another one enrolled in bilingual program. It was demonstrated that this last group obtained, globally, better results than the
“non-bilingual” group, and also this one obtained better results than the control group. Besides,
more knowledge was retained when the resource was listened to for two or more times. Due to
the results obtained in the satisfaction questionnaire, it can be concluded that Podcast represents
a different, innovative and motivating resource for teaching Physics and Chemistry.
