La evolución de la telerrealidad en España: Estudio diacrónico de Gran Hermano

Gran Hermano es un reality show de convivencia que se basa en vigilar 24 horas
a un grupo de personas anónimas en una casa rodeada de cámaras y
micrófonos. Se estrenó el 23 de abril del 2000 en Telecinco, por lo que es
considerado dentro de su género televisivo como el pionero en España. La
audiencia de la primera edición fue histórica y llegó a alcanzar los 7 millones de
media y un 51,2% de cuota de pantalla. Hasta el 2017 se han producido
dieciocho temporadas con unos espectadores fieles que en la última entrega
abandonaron el concurso y por lo tanto hoy está fuera de emisión.
El estudio de este trabajo consiste en la observación de la evolución de la
telerrealidad en España tomando como ejemplo este programa. En esta
investigación se examinarán distintas ediciones para poder comprender el
desarrollo que ha tenido el reality en sus 18 años.
Big Brother is a coexistence reality show that is base on monitoring 24 hours a
small group of anonymous people in a house surrounded by cameras and
microphones. It was premiered on April 23, 2000 on Telecinco, so it is considered
within its televisión genre as the pioneer in the country. The audience of the first
edition was historic and reached an average of 7 million and a 51,2% share. Until
2017 there have been eighteen seasons with loyal viewers who in the last
installment abandoned the contest and today is out off broadcast.
The study of this work consists of observing the evolution of reality television in
Spain taking this program as an example. In this investigation, different editions
will be examined in order to understand the development that the reality show
has had its 18 years.
