Cerca de dos millones de personas en España forman parte del islam, la segunda religión más
seguida del mundo. Este singular fenómeno despierta en Occidente toda una barrera de estereotipos y
prejuicios que llegan, incluso, a la prohibición de determinados ropajes identificados con las
personas musulmanas como el velo, en todas sus variantes.
En los últimos 20 años la islamofobia ha crecido en Europa, al igual que lo ha hecho la
reivindicación por la igualdad de los derechos de la mujer. En este contexto se presenta un Trabajo
de Fin de Grado en formato de reportaje multimedia con el objetivo de mostrar al lector la realidad
en la que muchas mujeres árabo-musulmanas viven en Europa y, por ende, en Occidente. La
metodología del presente trabajo de modalidad profesional recurre a la revisión documental, las
entrevistas y las historias de vida. El resultado que se obtiene es un reportaje multimedia en el que se
refleja el fenómeno mediante videos y audios sobre la historia de las entrevistadas, imágenes
elaboradas mediante collage y una encuesta con una muestra de 139 personas, que hablan y exponen
el feminismo árabo-musulmán desde dos puntos e historias de vida totalmente diferentes.
Spain has nearly two million people who are members of the Islamic religion, which it is the world's
second-largest religion. It is known that this particular phenomenon, in the Western countries,
awakens a barrier full of stereotypes and prejudices. It has even reached to the prohibition of certain
clothes, as the veil in all its variants, for its relation with Muslims.
Islamophobia has increased in Europe for the past 20 years. However, the growth of demand for
equal rights for women has become more and more powerful. With this context, it is presented the
Final Degree Project on a media report format. The main purpose is to show the reader the reality
that most of the arab-muslim women live daily in Europe and the rest of Western countries. The
methodology used for this project resort to documental review, interviews and life stories. The
phenomenon is seen through videos and audios about the stories of the interviewees, collage pictures
and a survey with a sample of 139 participants.
As for the result, it is achieved a media report where it is exposed the feminism arab-muslim from
two different points of view and life stories.
